Our resinous Epena bark is freshly harvested and imported direct from a private organic farm in India. We hold these specimens with great honor as one of histories most prized Shamanic tools.
Traditional & Modern Use:
The Shamans of the Amazon basin used virola bark in special ceremonies for healing; to diagnose and treat illness' that ailed the people of the tribe. It has also been said to offer "light" to Ayahuasca and has been greatly respected for its amazing spirit. This is extremely hardy bark and in modern times is commonly used for woodwork and crafts in South America and hopefully we will see more wood sculptures made with this beautiful bark in North America as well.
We offer these specimens for ornamental value to display and cherish in remembrance of a well-respected culture rich with shamanistic healing. Ingestion may be dangerous... DO NOT CONSUME!
