Psychotria viridis "Chacruna" Freshly Harvested Brazilian Leaves
These are some of the rarest and most incredible Chacruna specimens on Earth. This chacruna is cultivated for the Santo Daime church of Sao Paulo - Brazil, The techniques of drying they use is so respected and for good reason. They place the hand-picked leaves into a specific freeze temperature and later exposed to carefully controlled heat to produce thermic shock which increases its potential! We offer these beautiful specimens in limited quantities due to its rarity.
This shrub also known as chacruna is part of the coffee family and has been used for hundreds of years by Shaman and the UDV and Santo Daime Church for religious ceremonies. The Machiguenga people of Peru use juice from the leaves as eye drops to treat migraine headaches(of course this should not be applied to the eyes without the guidance of a qualified medicine man). It makes a wonderful natural art & craft product and can be applied as a natural green dye.
