Papaver somniferum - Opium Poppy
Outside the obvious uses of this poppy, P. somniferum pods are often used in flower arrangements for their beautifully natural colors. With so many strains of the poppy, the seeds are praised for the wonderful flavor they add to baking and each strain of P. somniferum has its own unique flavor.
