Lawsonia inermis "Henna" Organic Well-Established Plant
These are fully established and very healthy large specimens! This is the sole species in its genus. It is in the Lythraceae family and originates in N. Africa but can also be found in the Middle East and into Asia. It grows as a shrub to small tree from 5-15 ft tall and prefers semi arid habitats.

This is the famous botanical source of Henna. Henna is a non permanent dye which is often used to create temporary tattoos and even dye hair. The word Henna translates in Arabic to "Blessed". This plant is considered very sacred throughout its native land and is even mentioned in the Old Testament.
