The history of the now famous Kratom tree can be traced back to many cultures around the world. Commonly, the leaves were chewed by hard labor workers in Thailand to help alleviate the stresses and exhaustion common with these sorts of jobs. The more potent fine powder was often made into a tea, mixed with milk or honey or ingested as a raw powder. Kratom has effects like no other plant of its kind, both stimulating and hypnotic.
