We grow and harvest our Chaliponga whole leaves on the same private organic Peruvian farm that we harvest our as our Psychotria viridis Whole Leaves. We can easily say that these specimens are premium quality; dried and treated with great care as not to damage the spirit of the plant.
Traditional Use:
Chaliponga, also known as Chagropanga has been used much the same as Psychotria viridis in the religious ceremonial shamanistic brew, Ayahuasca. This plant is known to be "The Grandfather" of P. viridis as offers a much more powerful spirit. In Ecuador and Northern Peru this plant is more common and the Harakmbet tribe traditionally apply the custom of insisting one to "graduate" to a Chaliponga ceremony after several Chacruna ceremonies.
