Cascara Sagrada (Rhamnus purshiana) Chopped Bark

This freshly harvested organic bark is prepared "chopped" and can be easily grinded to powder.
Traditional & Modern Use:
The 1,8-dihydroxy-anthracene assist muscular contraction in the large intestine assisting in the movement of stool downwards. This is a powerful laxative but much gentler on the system then many over the counter medicines; generally allowing a more comfortable bowel movement but should still be treated with caution and not to be used to frequently or too large of a dosage. If too much is used it can cause some cramping.
