Blue Lotus, also known as "The Narcotic Lily of the Nile" is intensely adored as they strongly influenced the cultural and spiritual enlightenment of ancient Egyptian people. The Egyptians knew of a child-like god that arose from a single mystical flower when the petals gently opened. This child washed away the darkness and was known as "the beginning of life". They have been said to possess an amazing intoxicating "essence" bringing with it feelings of euphoria and bliss when they are smoked or soaked in water or wine and drank; historically 10 grams were soaked in wine for 2 weeks before being consumed and usually were accompanied with a cigarette made with the petals.
